MURRAY COD LURE FISHING TOURS

North East Victoria has some of Australia’s best native fisheries, especially for the iconic Murray cod. There are two opportunities for fishing for Murray cod in our region; smaller clear water rivers accessed from a small boat or raft, or larger rivers or lakes from our custom built boat. If you are keen to chase other native fish such as golden perch, especially during the peak months of spring, we can also arrange trips on local lakes.

Small Rivers

In contrast to the larger waterways of the region, the smaller rivers offer a unique experience to the keen lure caster. We have specific vessels to access these rivers, either a small boat when fishing with one angler, or the larger raft for two anglers. We concentrate on targeting fish holding structure, holding the boat or raft in position while anglers focus on landing their lure in the correct position.

Large Rivers and Lakes

Our larger vessel is a great boat to cast or troll a lure from and your guides have extensive experience boating and fishing the region. From the famous waterways of Lake Mulwala, Murray River and lower Ovens River to other seasonal favourites, the native fishing options are almost endless.

Smaller River fishing

Cost : HALF DAY: $350 per person, $500 for 2 people. FULL DAY: $500 per person, $625 for 2 people. Location : A designated location in North East Victoria. Season : December - August. What's included : HALF DAY: Gear hire, drinks and snacks, local pick up, FULL DAY: Gear hire, drinks, snacks, lunch and local pick up. Ability : Beginner - Advanced.

Large River and Lake Fishing

Cost : HALF DAY: $400 per person, $450 for 2 people, $475 3 people, $500 for 4 people. FULL DAY: $550 per person, $650 for 2 people, $675 for 3 people, $700 for 4 people. Location : A designated location in North East Victoria. Season : December - August.
